As you know, the Van Duzer Foundation likes to mix things up when we throw a fundraising party. It’s not going to be any different this time around as we pull out all the stops for 14 year-old Taylor Montpetit – a Fort Pierce resident with a serious illness. For most of his young life, Taylor has been battling Primary Immune Deficiency (PID) – an illness which leaves him unable to participate in many activities that would be considered normal for a child of his age, and one that leaves him exceptionally vulnerable to infections and illnesses which can become life-threatening. As of this writing, the family is also awaiting a possible diagnosis of Cystic Fibrosis in addition to the PID. It’s a lot for a young boy to handle and has taken its toll on the family both emotionally and financially.
On Wednesday, September 23rd, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. the Van Duzer Foundation will get together to show Taylor and the Montpetit family of little of our love. Taylor is a huge sports fan, so in conjunction with Steve and Jim from Palm Beach Autographs, the Van Duzer Foundation has assembled an awesome array of sports memorabilia available for viewing and purchase. As ever, 100% of the proceeds from sales of food and beverages that evening will go to the Montpetit family to help cover their additional expenses during this difficult time. Even the staff will be donating their time and talent that night to make life a little easier for the Monpetit family, and we’d love for you to come along, too.
In addition to sports memorabilia and great food, there will be raffles and prizes including free trips, gift certificates, bicycles and so much more, including a live broadcast from Evan Cohen of ESPN 760. It’s a veritable Triple Play for Taylor Montpetit and Taylor will be there, too, sharing in the fun and FUNdraising. Whether you come out because you’re a sports fan, a pizza lover or just want to help a great young kid, come out and share in the fun, Wednesday, September 23rd from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. For additional information, please call (772) 528-3467 for more information.
